What is Spray Deck?

Spray Deck is an acrylic modified cement finish which is spray applied over
concrete creating a textured appearance, which is non-skid and can be enhanced
using different patterns and colors. The finish is sealed making it very easy
to clean, extremely strong and durable, and lasting for many years.
The Spray Deck product consists of a mixture of liquid resin, formulated of
100% acrylic resins and additives that enhance the durability, adhesion and performance
of cement based materials. When used in place of water (normally added to cement
based materials), the resin modifies the material by providing better bonding,
flexibility and strength characteristics. The resin is designed to be used in
conjunction with a specially formulated concrete powder to create the unlimited
textures and patterns associated with Spray Deck.
This product is used in 2 steps; first mixed in a slurry type consistency it
is spread over the substrate to eliminate broom finish marks and minor blemishes
and create a smoother and more even surface. Secondly, it is mixed to a mudlike
consistency and sprayed onto the surface creating a textured appearance. This
can be finished by leaving the texture as is in an "orange peel" type
finish or "knocked down" for a smoother and more custom finish.
Finally, the Spray Deck is sealed using a clear or color modified, concrete
sealant. This unique blend of 100% acrylic resins which is quick drying, durable
and cleans easily with water is ideal for both residential and commercial use
on pool decks, patios, walkways and driveways. The sealer resists water, UV light
damage, household chemicals and hot tire pick-up.
